  Jeff Chevalier appointed new Senior Vice President / General Manager - Product Division January 15, 2008 - Jeff brings 20 years of experience working in world-class manufacturing companies to his new role at Metro Door. He held various management positions in engineering and quality assurance for GE Aircraft Engines, and eventually left GE for Honeywell Aerospace as Director of Operations, and was later promoted to Managing Director/ General Manager of their aerospace repair and overhaul facility in England. Most recently he worked for Precision Castparts Corporation as General Manager of their Greer Stop Nut division in Nashville. Jeff has a track record of success in both large and small companies. He has outstanding leadership skills and significant experience in process improvement, quality, lean manufacturing and customer development, and we expect him to be a very important part of the Metro Door team. Jeff will be based at the Lewisburg, TN plant. Metro Door Inc. to Move Its Headquarters to Sunrise Business Center in Great River, NY Garden City, NY-based Metropolitan Realty Associates announced that Metro Door Inc., one of the nation's leading suppliers of security closures for retailers, has leased more than 17,000 square feet of office space for its headquarters at the Sunrise Business Center in Great River, NY. Update - November 16, 2007 - The move to Sunrise Business Center was completed seamlessly without any disruption to Metro Door's customers. Great River, NY (PRWEB) June 29, 2007 - Metro Door Inc., one of the nations leading suppliers of security closures for retailers, has signed a long-term lease to move its headquarters to17,544 square feet at the Sunrise Business Center. They were convinced to move to the South Shore office complex, company officials said, after an employee census was undertaken. Fast-growing Metro Door, now in about 8,000 square feet spread through two buildings on Smithtown Bypass in Hauppauge, plans to move to the 100 Building of the Sunrise Business Center in mid-summer 2007. The lease represents the largest transaction at the sprawling complex since its purchase last year by Metropolitan Realty Associates LLC. Since late 2006, Sunrise Business Center has signed new leases and renewals for space totaling more than 35,000 square feet. In addition, Sunrise Business Center is negotiating potential transactions for another 25,000 square feet of space.
